    • Biryani Masala: 2 tablespoons
    • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 teaspoon
    • Red Chili Powder: 1 teaspoon
    • Garam Masala: 1 teaspoon
    • Bay Leaves: 2
    • Cinnamon Sticks: 2-3
    • Cloves: 4-5
    • Cardamom Pods: 3-4
    • Star Anise: 1
    • Saffron: a few strands (soaked in 2 tablespoons of warm milk)
    • Ghee: 2 tablespoons
    • Oil: 4 tablespoons
    • Salt: to taste
    • Water: as required
